CEO and founder, Mr Robert Graham (R) was interviewed by respected journalist Mike O'Connor.
The accompanying picture, of Mr Graham looking very relaxed and reading a book on Cuba, was used to set the scene for the article.
Why a book on Cuba you may well ask considering Meditour focuses on SE Asia Medical Tourism?
"Easy," said Robert, "the photographer picked it from my collection!".

APHM + Mega FAM, Malaysia 2011

Meditour and preferred travel partner, All About Asia, were the only Australian companies invited by Tourism Malaysia to attend the 2011 APHM International Healthcare Conference and Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur.
Looking to expand Medical Toursim destinations under Meditour, APHM (Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia) organised tours of hospitals and clinics to showcase how far Malaysia has come in being a real 'player' in world wide Medical Tourism.
The Malaysian government has embarked on a mission to increase the number of people to visit Malaysia for medical treatment and Meditour had meetings with some of the biggest health providers in the country in an endevour to strike up business partnerships. These partnerships will see Australian's given yet more choice for Medical Tourism destinations that have been determined by Meditour to be of sufficiently high standards that foreigners, in particular, Australians, expect.

Testimonials With Real Bite!
their dental treatment in the Philippines
through Meditour since 2005.
Tricia Szirom Melbourne May 2011
Dear Robert
Thank you for arranging for my trip to Manila. Dr Joel was a gem and his staff are thoughtful and considerate. I am happy to talk with anyone who is wanting a testimonial
Regards Tricia
David Banbury - Goomeri Queensland- March 2011
Hi Robert - I want to thank you so much for the way you organised our trip to the Philippines. From the time we arrived and were met by the driver who took us to the hotel and to the reception there, everyone was polite and helpful and most importantly - on time. The hotel was really nice and the included breakfasts were fantastic. Sonny - (the driver for the dentist) was always on time and doubled as a bit of a tour guide as well as introducing us to Philipina food. The Dental work my son and I had done is great and done so quickly - it would have taken months OZ and so cheap by comparison. As you saw on my son's dental quote from here (22000) he had more work done than on the quote for $5000 and the quality of the work is excellent. I have already given your contact details to a number of friends who have checked us out and want to go and have their teeth fixed.
A direct comment from a Keith from Byron Bay who was quoted nearly $80,000 for his work to be done here which was over 90% less in Manila-February 2005"Very happy with dental work. they made me feel very welcome and are a top class outfit. have 15 crowns, had a number of root canals and lots of x-rays. total cost about $6500. lots of pain and a ton of work but would recommend them to anyone.- Keith"

Australian Dental Unaffordable For Most
MOST Australian's cannot afford dental in their own country! How bad is that? There's been plenty in the media about it too...how unaffordable dental is in Australia. Here's what was written in the Australian Newspaper http://bit.ly/ieOSPz . Meditour some years back noted that Australian dental work could not compete on price with comparable work in the Philippines and throughout Asia. The standard of work, the depth of training and the use of world standard proceedures and materials are available at a fraction of the cost.
AdelaideNow said this about the 1 in 3 Australian's who are suffering bad dental health because of prohibitive costs http://bit.ly/lQmYp6
Having dental in the Philippines is a great option for those that don't have health insurance. You can afford to have a complete restoration of your teeth and it will be up to 80% less than comparable proceedures done in Australia.
Meditour works closely with The Philippine Department of Tourism , The Philippine Department of Health, The Philippine Dental Association members and the Makati Tourism Foundation members who can put you in touch with the best dentists in the Philippines.

Meditour...Making Medical Tourism Safe

These questions are typical of what we're asked when people are looking into getting dental work performed in the Philippines. There are more here on our website.
FAQ's
Q: Will I actually save money with the extra costs by flying to the Philippines and staying in a hotel?
A: It is a common knowledge that dental treatment is very costly in Australia. For example, the common procedure of porcelain crown and bridge would regularly cost $800 to $1200 per unit. In the Philippines, the customary rate for this procedure is merely $100 to $200 and can be done in a shorter period of time because of the availability of local but world-class dental laboratories. Other dental procedures will cost much less and can save a substantial amount you can allot to pay for your airfare and other holiday expenditures.
Q: How do I find out the cost of treatment?
A: Send Meditour your requirements or the best way is to send Meditour a treatment plan given by your local dentist. Any X rays you have would also help. Even pictures taken of your teeth help the dentists give you a close cost estimate.
Q: How long will I need to be away from home?
A: Of course it depends on the treatment required. We have found the average is 10 days but we have had people treated in as little as 5 days. If you send us your requirements, our dentists can give a fairly accurate length of time needed.
Q: People tell me it is not hygienic to have dental treatment performed in Asia. How can I be sure that the clinics are clean?
A: Filipino dentists can be at par with any foreign dentist. Through their continuing education, awareness, and access to modern equipment, local dentists can truly be comparable to foreign practitioners.
